The causes of food waste and measures to reduce it

This report details the main causes of food loss and waste and measures to prevent them at every stage of the agri-food value chain: production, processing and transport, distribution, catering and households.

Reconnecting with the Valencian Huerta

This educational project highlights the Valencian huerta and the work of its farmers. It helps children recognise vegetables while they are still growing and learn which season they grow in. The game involves matching three cards: the name of a fruit or vegetable, what the final produce looks like, and the plant seen growing in the field. It includes teacher instructions, a seasonal calendar, printable cards, an activity workbook and family materials.

The Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean Diet is more than a way of eating: it is a way of life that connects health, culture and respect for nature. Recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it represents a balance between people and their environment. These infographics explain how to practise it at home and the role of produce from the Valencian huerta.
